The Tinahely Agri Show is a photographers dream. And how different it is from wedding photography…

All human life is there, or so it seems. Whether you’re into photographing vintage cars or tractors – or bulls with big ears, Tinahely is the place to be – Baby ducks, ladies who make homemade jam, lads who can dismantle a tractor in a couple of hours, sheaf tossers, pony people, horsey people, As a ‘people’ photographer I love the characters that seem to crawl from the woodwork for such events. The show on Monday 2nd August 2010 was well attended with large crowds swarming over the Wicklow hills like flies around dog poo.

Full marks to the organizers for a superbly well organized event – for me one of the highlights was the speedy exit from the event. Gardai directed traffic to minimize delays.
